She also facilitated a large pharma company’s participation in the Access to Medicines Index in two consecutive rounds (2016, 2018) as well as various health advocacy strategy development processes, including for the DFID and NORAD-funded £60 million Project to Revive Routine Immunization in Northern Nigeria.Īlice works as an independent consultant while also being engaged as a Director at Endeva, a Berlin-based research & consulting institute where she leads work on business solutions to global public health issues and social impact assessment. Alice also engaged in research projects for the World Bank/IFC, such as the Mining Health Initiative, a multi-stakeholder research and strategy development exercise for public-private health partnerships in the mining sector. She has worked extensively on aid architecture, particularly when managing the participation of development partners and recipient governments (Benin, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Gambia, Mauritania, Nepal, Nigeria, Togo, Uganda) in three consecutive rounds of global IHP+ (international health partnership) monitoring (2012, 2014, 2016) when investigating policies and practices around EDC of Australia and Germany in 2017 or when analysing the principle of democratic ownership and civil society participation with a view to informing the OECD monitoring process on aid effectiveness in 20. Between 20 Alice served as RMNCH evaluation team leader facilitating the design and implementation of prospective evaluation studies on quality of care, regional alignment and overall validity of theory of change for a DFID- and BMGF-funded £20 million project to improve RMNCH in Sub-Saharan Africa. Alice benefits from experience with over 40 institutional contexts, including UN agencies (WHO, UNESCO, UNFPA, UNIDO, UNDP) the World Bank and African Union bilateral donors (DFID, GIZ, DFAT/formerly AusAID) large corporates (Boehringer Ingelheim, Merck), civil society (ACF, Action Aid, Action for Global Health, ADRA, DSW, MSF, Plan International, Save the Children, Tearfund, WaterAid, World Vision) and other stakeholder groups, such as the media.Īs an M&E specialist, Alice regularly designs and implements results frameworks, research methodologies and tools for complex evaluations of multi-stakeholder health programmes requiring participatory approaches.
